What it connects to

Start from what you already keep

Your records, your documents and the public facts about your company come in as they are. You map the columns once and import, and every figure on your map traces back to where it came from.

Just Good Business reads your books. It never writes to them.

Works today

Spreadsheets: CSV and Excel

Invoices, bills, payroll by role, bank exports, your pipeline and enquiries, and time records. Map the columns once and the mapping is saved for next time; preview, then import. The file itself is discarded after import, and "delete my numbers" removes everything.

Documents and images

PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, Markdown, plain text and images. Every file is held back until a virus scan clears it.

OneDrive

Import a folder or a single file from OneDrive. It's re-synced daily, so the map works from your latest copy.

Companies House

Reads a company's profile, its officers, its filing history and the people with significant control, and flags late filings. Every fact is cited back to the register.

Any web API

Connect a system you already run, such as your CRM, through its web API (REST or SOAP). Agents can only read from it, your credentials are encrypted, and every call is audited.

Web research, on a schedule you set

Agents search only for your sector, your places, your offers and the segments and rivals you choose. Your figures are never sent. Research re-runs on a schedule you set, and findings arrive as proposals you review. How research gets in

A question, by email

Need an answer from someone outside the business, such as a supplier or your accountant? SOSX emails that named person your question and brings their reply back into the map, checked.

Your map, exported

The map exports, for example to draw.io, and the assessment goes out as Word, PDF or a spreadsheet for your adviser, lender or buyer.

Coming

Accounting connections

  • Xero Coming
  • FreeAgent Coming
  • QuickBooks After them
  • Sage After them

Xero and FreeAgent are coming first, then QuickBooks and Sage. Each will be read-only: Just Good Business reads your books and never writes to them. Until then, an export from your accounting software comes in as a CSV or Excel file today.

From the same team

Two companion tools that work alongside Just Good Business

Explain My Business and Customer Compass come from the team behind Just Good Business. Each does one job well, next to your map.

Explain My Business

Turns your business documents or your website into short explainer videos, narrated and captioned. You approve the script before anything is made, so every word is one you'd say.

Visit explainmybusiness.net

Customer Compass

For UK service businesses on Xero. It connects to Xero, ranks the client moves that matter most by their money impact (who to keep, who to renegotiate, quiet churn and price ceilings) and drafts the first action for each. It writes back to Xero only if you approve, and that's off by default.
